Allen's Damsel - Pomacentrus alleni
Picture taken May 2006, Nikon D70 Digital SLR, Sigma 105mm macro lens (no flash)

Purchased: April 23th, 2006.

This is one of the most beautiful of the damsels in my opinion. It is longer and narrower than most damsels. This one is just under 1.5 inches long. Full grown adults are around 2 inches in size. Allen's Damsel brilliant color and tends to be less evil.

This one reported to be from Sri Lanka.

It eats everything I add to the tank. Not fussy at all. It is an open water fish, doesn't hide much. Although the form schools in the wild, I recommend just a single one in captivity.

A very difficult close up of this rapid moving fish. It is a good example of the beautiful neon colors this fish displays
