Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp - Lysmata amboinensis

However, they do have color differences and they live in different parts of the world. L. amboinensis is from the Indo-Pacific and has a white line running from the rostrum to the beginning of the tail fan. It usually ents in a "T". The tail fan on either side of the white line are red. The tail fan usually has white blotches on it. L. grabhami is from the Caribbean and is different in that it's white line runs all the way from the tip of the rostrum to the tip of the tail fan. Sometimes it has a white edge on the tail fan. A life span of 6 or more years from these shrimps are common. |
