Three Tridacna crocea Clams
Picture taken June 2006, Nikon D70 Digital SLR, Nikkor 18-70mm DX lens. Purchased June 13th, 2006. These are three Tridacna crocea clams which were added to the display at the same time. They are on the substrate acclimating to the light. This picture shows them a few hours after being added to the display. This picture is from above, through 2 feet of water. The clams are between 3.5 and 4.5 inches in size. |

Picture taken March 2007, Nikon D70 Digital SLR, Nikkor 18-70mm DX lens The left most clam of the three pictured at the top of the page nine months later. I had to delay adding this image to the web site to allow it to be published as the May 2007 cover shot of ReefKeeeping.com on-line magazine. |
