Three Tridacna crocea Clams

Purchased June 13th, 2006.
These are three Tridacna crocea clams which were added to the display at the same time. They are on the substrate acclimating to the light.
This picture shows them a few hours after being added to the display.
This picture is from above, through 2 feet of water. The clams are between 3.5 and 4.5 inches in size.

The center clam of the three pictured above from the front eight months later. It still has the incredible colors but these can only be seen from the top not the front.

The Blue Mandarin is inspecting it closely for something to much on.
